The Magento Story

The Magento story began with the Community Edition in 2007. Thousands of merchants all around the world used this edition to set up their eCommerce stores. 2009 saw the launch of the Magento Commerce version, followed by Magento Mobile in 2011. Soon after, eBay acquired Magento, and in 2015 Magento 2.0 was officially released. Then came the Magento Enterprise edition in 2016.
